So, it seems fitting that my last journal entry was on Wyrd's fifth anniversary. I babbled about the comic book display in college (which sadly I never took a decent picture of it when it was up because I'm an idiot) and how Wyrd was my first character, and how I was giving her an official funeral by using her in the display. So, today marks the fifth anniversary of my first comic book concept and the decision that I want to draw comics for the rest of my life. In senior year of high school, December 22, 2004, I drew a character named Wyrd. She was the first character I ever created, drawing wise, that I truly could picture in a comic book setting. I quickly began coming up with a story for her and five years later, I now have over twenty different stories, and over 140 different characters. I depend very heavily on photoshop (PS). I have this thing where I feel if it wasn't inked and colored in PS, it's not worthy of being posted. With that theory, I post nothing. I have dozens of good sketches, but without the time to scan them in, resize them, ink, then color them in PS, they never see the light of day. Thanks to an opportunity presented by my professor in Drawing II, I had to complete a comic book page in four days so my piece could be featured in a display case about comic book art.
